Aurora Yearbook Editor:

Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, IL

In my role as the Aurora Yearbook Editor for Olivet Nazarene University's 2024-2025 yearbook, I managed the $80,000 project and coordinated the creation of a 272-page publication that represented the university's diverse student body. I had the unique opportunity to hire and lead a team, overseeing their schedules to ensure the timely photographing of various groups across campus. My responsibilities included designing the layout, selecting images, writing captions, and creating the overall content of the yearbook. I worked closely with my faculty advisor to meet deadlines and ensure the yearbook accurately reflected the vibrant community at Olivet. Balancing this project with my academic and additional job on the Social Media Team has taught me valuable time management and organizational skills.

This position also involved being part of the Student Life team, which provided me with valuable insight into the behind-the-scenes operations of large-scale university events. I contributed to event setup, assisted during the event, and helped with post-event cleanup, all while ensuring a welcoming and positive experience for attendees. This role allowed me to play an active part in fostering an inclusive environment for the Olivet community, further enhancing my teamwork, event management, and problem-solving skills.
